Since 1952, the year of its founding, COSEMA is the leader in the Italian market of machine tools for machining chip removal.
Its business began with the production of magnetic separators and continued with the development of gravity filter systems with disposable fabric, self-cleaning drum, deep bag; vacuum and pressure systems in a variety of configurations and variants, together with conveying systems, processing, oil separators and storage of metal chips.
Trade agreements with major partners of complementary products, such as centrifuges for oil extraction, chip shredders, etc., completed the company’s range of products and integrated solutions.
Many years of experience in the field have made COSEMA a technical sales partner of reference for major manufacturers of machine tools and large workshops for machining with chip removal, thanks to its ability to design and produce items according to specific customer requirements, in terms of filtration quality and plant layout.
The strength of Cosema is the ability to design and build centralized systems, even to service whole workshops.
Its History
Since 1952COSEMA products have represented a reference in the field of filtration and separations of cooling lubricants for machine tools. Over time, the mix was extended to the field of conveying and treatment of machining chips.
COSEMA was the first company to start filtration of cooling lubricants in Italy. In 1952, the first magnetic separators under license from the U.S. company Barnesdrill were launched on the market by the then-CO.SE.MA. Sas (Costruzione Separatori Magnetici, i.e. construction of magnetic separators) manufactured in its historic factory in Turin.
Cosema’s strength is its ability to design and build centralized systems, even to service whole workshops. The experience began with the creation of a vacuum system at the service of automatic machines for machining of brass, with a capacity of 2,500 liters per minute. The evolution and continuous development of knowledge has allowed COSEMA to manufacture one of the world's largest centralized systems, capable of processing more than 60,000 liters per minute of cooling lubricant in the service of an entire production department with relocations for the construction of engines in the automotive industry.
